Brewery Challenge Project
North Carolina’s brewery scene has been growing in size and reputation for several years, with no sign of letting up; Cape Fear Community College Students are seizing the opportunity to elevate sales for these companies as well as elevate their careers in design. Students contacted local and regional breweries to work one on one with clients to create unique, functional, and new beer labels.
Design Students: Audrey Pontin elevated the look of Panacea Brewing Company kombucha series, Cade Quittschreiber created the craft beer "Blue"; Clem Doniere collaborated with his client Makai Brewing of Ocean Isle beach & came up with the "Windward Wheat"; Julie Stead worked with Gizmo BrewWorks to create packaging for a new ale they were releasing called "Collusion Double"; Winston Orzechowski met with Wrightsville Beach Brewery to discuss their new label; Michael Villegas sketched and designed several new labels for holiday brews for the Wilmington Waterline Brewing Company.
These projects were created in CFCC's Adobe II course, under the direction of Amanda Penegar and Marsha Mills.
